_Sharon Ya’ari, born in 1966 in Israel, currently lives and works in Tel Aviv. From 1990 to 1994, Ya’ari was a student in the photography department at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, from which he graduated. From 1998 to 2002, he earned his Master’s degree (MPhil) at Derby University, UK. Ya’ari’s work has been exhibited in galleries and museums in Israel and abroad, including solo exhibitions at Kunsthaus Baselland in Basel, Switzerland (2011); Gallerie Martin Janda in Vienna, Austria (2009); Sommer Contemporary Art, Tel Aviv (2009); Lombard-Freid Fine Art, New York (2003); and Lisson Gallery, London (2002). Ya’ari has also been included in group exhibitions at the Israel Museum; Tel Aviv Museum; ICP, New York (2003); Martin-Gropius-Bau Museum, Berlin (2005); The Jewish Museum, New York (2008); and Marco-Vigo, Spain (2007).
